Why Salmon?
Salmon is always a great dish to bring to the dinner table. This fish is versatile when it comes to making meals with different taste. It is also one of the healthiest meats you can eat, as it is full of nutritional benefits. Salmon makes for an excellent source a protein, vitamin, and minerals. This includes omega fatty acids, which aid in keeping the brain, heart, and other parts of the body healthy.
Making Coriander Crusted Salmon
At Bodrum, we serve coriander crusted salmon with Atlantic salmon and a side of ratatouille. Most salmon produce a distinct taste but Atlantic salmon offers something much richer in flavor. Add in the special coriander seasoning, and your mouth will be in heaven. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground coriander
- 2 tablespoons of ground almonds
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- Lemon wedges
- Salt and pepper
- Extra-virgin olive oil
Take a small bowl and mix the coriander, almonds, flour, salt, and pepper together. Set the mixture aside and prepare the salmon by laying them flesh side up on paper towels. Drizzle olive oil on each fillet and coat the flesh side with your coriander mixture.
The next step is pretty simple. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick frying pan (you wouldn’t want a regular pan ripping apart any of that delicious meat). Then lay each fillet into the pan, flesh side down. Cook for a few minutes and flip to cook the other side. Serve with olive oil drizzled on top and garnished with lemon wedges.
Be prepared to shake up dinner and share this recipe with all of your friends.
